Homework
I like to use the same routine for weekly homework so that parents know what to expect. This allows you flexibility with your schedules. Please know that I understand that all children work differently. If you ever feel like the assignment is too much, or your student is struggling, let me know. We can ALWAYS work it out!
Spelling: Every Monday you will get a new sheet that is due on Friday. Your student needs to complete two assignments by Friday of that week.
Math: Each Monday your child will receive a Math 4 Today worksheet that is due on Friday. Please have them complete one row per night.
Reading/Math Log: You will receive a packet of Math/Reading logs at the beginning of the month. Keep them in a safe place so that can start a new sheet every Monday. The students have one week to complete their minutes, and should return them to school on Mondays. Remember if Fluency Binders are sent home, that counts towards Reading minutes!
Fluency Binder: I plan on sending home their Fluency Binders one or two times per week. They will write the date of the poem we were practicing at the top of the poem. Please practice the poem with your child and sign the log.
