Thank you to all the parents that worked so hard on our Holiday Party. The kids loved their snowman races, craft, story, and of course their snack! I appreciate all the hard work that went on at the party, and behind the scenes.
Welcome to our classroom blog. This is a great place to find updated information about our classroom, and Craddock Elementary. Please remember to follow the second grade blog, which you can find on the Aurora home page under Craddock and Links. The second grade blog will provide you with updates on our curriculum!

Holiday STEM Activities
We had such a fun afternoon working through some Elf problems. All of the problems required the children to work through a task as a team to find a solution to their STEM problems. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. It promotes higher level, complex thinking. The first task was to construct a free standing Christmas tree out of pipe cleaners. Task number two was to create the highest tree out of small cups. The third job was to make the highest shelf possible for their paper elf using Popsicle sticks and play dough. Finally, the kids had to construct a set of stairs out of foil for the elves to get off the sleigh. Some children were frustrated at times, but we all agreed it was a lot of fun!
